FEMLEAD proposes a new model for higher education institutions (HEIs) to implement comprehensive measures to reduce the gender gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), while playing a central role in social change.

The initiative takes a multi-stakeholder approach to promoting Open Science (OS) practices and STEM initiatives within HEIs, promoting gender diversity, inclusivity and systematisation.

HEI staff, students, researchers, women’s communities (including minority communities), research organisations and policy makers are trained and mobilised to promote women’s participation.
